Board Positions

The Centreville Chicopee Community Association is managed by a dedicated Board of Directors. These enthusiastic volunteers work hard to promote community, inclusivity, and acceptance for everyone.

Board Role Descriptions

Chair

The Chair serves as the primary leader and representative of the CCCA. This role is responsible for overseeing the association’s governance, ensuring legal and financial compliance, and acting as the main bridge between the board, the community, and the City of Kitchener. 

Secretary

The Secretary serves as the administrative backbone of the association. This role ensures that the board remains organized, compliant, and transparent by maintaining accurate records and managing the logistics of all official meetings.

Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator is the architect of the association’s activities. This role is responsible for designing, staffing, and evaluating the various programs (like fitness classes, workshops, or kids' clubs) that the CCCA offers to the neighborhood.

Community / Street Representitive

The Community/Street Representative acts as the essential "boots on the ground" person between the CCCA and the residents in the community. This role is focused on building a hyper-local sense of belonging and ensuring that every neighbor is informed and included.

Treasurer

The Treasurer is the financial steward of the association. This role is responsible for the "health of the books," ensuring that all community funds are accurately tracked, safely deposited, and ethically spent according to non-profit standards.

Communication Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator is the creative voice of the association. This role is responsible for making sure the neighborhood knows exactly what’s happening—from seasonal programs to special events—by managing all digital and print promotional materials.

Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator is the primary recruiter and advocate for the people who power the association’s activities. This role focuses on finding, training, and supporting volunteers to ensure programs and special events are well-staffed and successful.

Special Events Coordinator

The Special Events Coordinator is the creative lead behind the association’s large-scale community gatherings. This role focuses on planning and executing events that boost neighborhood morale, while also providing expert guidance to residents who want to start their own local initiatives.
