Current Opportunities

All of the programs offered by the Centreville Chicopee Community Association are organized by a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, we are always looking for fresh faces to come on board.

There are many different ways to work with us or volunteer: as a program instructor, for a one day special event or as part of our Board of Directors. We have several positions available, so please apply if you're interested. If you would like to propose a new program for the community, kindly fill out the Volunteer Form or Contact Form.

Treasurer

The Treasurer serves as the financial steward of the CCCA, overseeing the association’s financial health and ensuring community funds are managed responsibly, transparently, and in alignment with non‑profit standards. This role involves tracking income and expenses, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting informed decision‑making by the board, and reporting on the association’s financial status throughout the year and at the Annual General Meeting. The Treasurer works collaboratively with the Chair, board members, and external partners to ensure strong financial accountability and sustainability for the organization.

Secretary

The Secretary is a volunteer board member who helps keep the CCCA organized, informed, and running smoothly. Serving as the association’s administrative anchor, this role supports effective meetings, clear communication, and good governance by maintaining records, coordinating meeting logistics, and ensuring important information is documented and accessible. The Secretary works closely with the Chair and board members to support transparency, continuity, and a well‑functioning board—no prior board experience required, just strong organization skills and a willingness to help.

Community / Street Representative

As the essential "boots on the ground" liaison for the CCCA, the Community/Street Representative serves as the vital link between the association and the residents of their specific street. This role is focused on cultivating a hyper-local sense of belonging by acting as a friendly, approachable point of contact for neighbors and a welcoming face for new residents. By driving awareness of local programs through the distribution of newsletters and event flyers, the Representative ensures no neighbor is left out of the loop. Beyond information sharing, they serve as a grassroots advocate, bringing the unique concerns and stories of their street directly to the Board to influence community-wide decisions and solve localized issues.

Special Events Coordinator

As the creative lead for the CCCA, the Special Events Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end strategy and execution of large-scale community gatherings that boost neighborhood morale. This role blends project management with community advocacy, as the Coordinator not only leads signature events—managing budgets, logistics, and on-site teams—but also consults with residents to help bring their own local initiatives to life. By collaborating with the Volunteer and Communications teams and maintaining detailed event "playbooks," the Coordinator ensures each celebration is well-run, inclusive, and sustainable. It is an ideal position for a proactive leader dedicated to fostering social connection and enhancing the collective well-being of the community.

Youth Cooking - Instructor

The Youth Cooking Instructor is the head chef of this community program. You’ll guide youth through the rewarding process of turning simple, accessible ingredients into nourishing meals. This isn’t just about recipes, it’s about building confidence. You will lead a small team of dedicated volunteers to create a supportive kitchen environment where life skills are the main course. If you love to teach, cook and want to make a tangible impact on the next generation, this role is for you.

Program Volunteer

Do you have a passion for a specific activity? Program Volunteers provide consistent support for our weekly Youth or Adult programs. You’ll be a familiar face that our participants look forward to seeing every week.

Special Events Volunteer

Are you a "people person" who loves a high-energy environment? Our Special Events Volunteers are the face of the CCCA at neighborhood events, seasonal parties, and community BBQs.

Special Project Volunteer

Do you have a specific skill you want to share? Special Projects Volunteers take on "mission-based" tasks that help the CCCA grow. This is a more independent role that can often be done on your own time.
