Community / Street Representative

Opportunity Type:

About the Role

As the essential "boots on the ground" liaison for the CCCA, the Community/Street Representative serves as the vital link between the association and the residents of their specific street. This role is focused on cultivating a hyper-local sense of belonging by acting as a friendly, approachable point of contact for neighbors and a welcoming face for new residents. By driving awareness of local programs through the distribution of newsletters and event flyers, the Representative ensures no neighbor is left out of the loop. Beyond information sharing, they serve as a grassroots advocate, bringing the unique concerns and stories of their street directly to the Board to influence community-wide decisions and solve localized issues.

How will you make an impact?

Neighborly Engagement:

  • Be the Bridge: Act as the primary contact for your street, building genuine relationships and fostering a welcoming environment for both long-term and new residents.

  • Hyper-Local Leadership: When inspiration strikes, organize "micro-events" like block parties or neighborhood cleanups to strengthen the social fabric of your specific area.

Advocacy & Representation:

  • Give Your Street a Voice: Represent your neighbors' interests at board meetings, ensuring their specific feedback and concerns are heard and addressed by leadership.

  • Problem Solver: Partner with the Board to identify infrastructure or safety needs on your street, helping to find practical solutions within the association’s capacity.

Communications & Awareness:

  • Drive Connection: Boost participation in community life by sharing seasonal newsletters and digital updates, connecting residents to the CCCA’s wider resources and social media.

  • Information Stewardship: Ensure that vital community information reaches every doorstep, regardless of whether residents are active online.
