About the Role
The Youth Night Coordinator will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the Youth Night program at the Centreville Chicopee Community Centre.
How will you make an impact?
Develop the Youth Night Program plan including activities and special events as needed
Prepare guest speakers, relevant to youth, periodically throughout the program
Work closely with Youth Night Leader to implement the program plan, provide feedback and suggestions that can improve the participant experience
Manage the weekly purchase of any food and/or program supplies (costs reimbursed)
Coordinate with the Tutoring Coordinator in the operation of the Tutoring program available to participants of the program
Provide regular updates to the Program Coordinator on the operations of the program
Provide a safe and fun environment for youth to interact with peers, playing and engaging in social and recreational activities
Supervise participants at all times and, as a team, address unsafe and unacceptable behavior
Assist with the set-up and take-down of program equipment and supplies.
Ensure Association policies and procedures are implementated and followed
Requirements
18+ years old
Clear WRPS Vulnerable Sector check upon conditional offer
Valid CPR Level "C" and Standard First Aid Certificate
Available to work Thursdays, 6-9pm + 2 additional programming hours per month
Experience working with youth ages 11+ years an asset
Experience with program planning and understanding of child and youth development
Excellent communication skills, both in person, via phone and written
Excellent organization skills
Must be reliable with a good attitude
