About the Role
The Youth Night Leader will work closely with the Coordinator and assist in planning and implementation of the Youth Night program at the Centreville Chicopee Community Centre.
How will you make an impact?
Assist Youth Night Coordinator in planning of Youth Night program, activities and special events
Implement the program plan for the Youth Night program, provide feedback and suggestions that can improve the participant experience
Assist with preparing guest speakers, relevant to youth, periodically throughout the program
Work with the Tutoring Coordinator in the operation of the Tutoring program available to participants of the program
Provide a safe and fun environment for youth to interact with peers, playing and engaging in social and recreational activities
Supervise participants at all times and, as a team, address unsafe and unacceptable behavior
Assist with the set-up and take-down of program equipment and supplies.
Ensure Association policies and procedures are implementated and followed
Requirements
18+ years old
Clear WRPS Vulnerable Sector check upon conditional offer
Available to work Thursdays, 6-9pm + 2 additional programming hours per month
Experience working with youth ages 11+ years an asset
Excellent communication skills, both in person, via phone and written
Must be reliable with a good attitude
